18 days & counting…
I don’t think I had realized…my move to Los Angeles was coming up SO soon. I had been waiting for the day to get closer and closer and BAM! I feel like it snuck up on me and its chasing me fairly quickly. I need to start packing away my things and shipping them off a.s.a.p. There’s still a bunch of furniture that I need to sell or give away and I have yet to figure out what I’m doing with my cat, Pocket. Basically, I have a lot of things to get done. Either way, I’m beyond excited for this new chapter in my life.
Looking back on the little girl who would sit in her room, counting down the years until she could move out of that awful house, I smile. I’ve come so far and I’m only going to keep going. In a period of two years, I’ve:
-spent a summer in LA
-moved to Boston
-attended Berklee College of Music
-met wonderful people who inspire me
-met awful people who remind me of the things I never want to be
-wrote a TON of music
-spent some time in NYC
-got sick
-got better
-fell in love
-drove ACROSS THE COUNTRY in 4 days
-opened for Pino Palladino at The Roxy
-made the decision to move to the west coast and pursue a career in music.
All of this makes me wonder what my bullet list of things will look like in another 2 years. Whatever it may contain, I’m sure it’ll be great. I’m looking forward to this move because its a brand new chapter and a brand new adventure.
